Listing guidelines

Please adhere to the following insertion rules as well as to the legal requirements (in particular the Federal Act against Unfair Competition, the Ordinance on the Indication of Prices, and the Energy Ordinance). MotoScout24 reserves the right to delete listings, or parts thereof, that do not comply with the insertion rules or the legal requirements.

All vehicles

Each vehicle may only be listed once at a time.
The advertiser must actually possess the vehicle offered. The vehicles offered may not be ordered or yet to be ordered.
Direct/parallel imported vehicles must be declared accordingly in the listing.
Listed vehicles must be available for viewing, test drive, and delivery within one week.
The location of the vehicle offered as well as the provider must be in Switzerland/Liechtenstein.
Wanted ads are not permitted in the vehicle marketplace.
The vehicle information stated in the listing must be truthful.
The vehicle fields specified by MotoScout24 may only be used for their intended purpose. In particular, the “Version” field may not contain remarks such as discounts, leasing, etc. The field may contain only model, version including special series, technical information on the engine and displacement, and for electric vehicles an indication of whether the battery is included or rented.
“From MFK” (Motorfahrzeugkontrolle/roadworthiness test) applies if the last inspection is still valid for 12 months or will be carried out before delivery.
Only one vehicle may be recorded per listing; i.e., the make and model cannot be changed afterwards.

Price

The “Price” field must contain the end consumer sales price, i.e., the amount the consumer ultimately has to pay (see also the Ordinance on the Indication of Prices). This includes, in particular, value-added tax (for traders) and any fees. Monthly leasing fees or rental prices may not be stated in this field. The requirements of the Ordinance on the Indication of Prices must be fully complied with. The displayed terms and leasing rates must represent a real offer and be truthful. The published price and the leasing rates must correspond to the amount the customer ultimately has to pay. In particular, the provisions of the Federal Act against Unfair Competition and the other provisions related to consumer credit and leasing apply. In case of violations, we reserve the right to block the account.

Vehicle images

MotoScout24 recommends illustrating the listing with images. These significantly increase attention. Original images must depict the actual vehicle listed. Only original images are permitted. The vehicle must not be obscured and must always be in the foreground. The photos must not be misleading and must reflect the actual condition of the vehicle. Image editing is not permitted. Only the insertion of a virtual background wall to optimize image quality is accepted. Please observe the valid guidelines under the supplementary provisions. The advertiser is responsible for ensuring that the images used may be used without restriction and do not infringe third-party rights (in particular copyrights).

Address and contact information

Value-added numbers, 0900 numbers, and foreign numbers are generally not permitted, except those from the Principality of Liechtenstein. Indicating at least one telephone number, email address, postal code, and town in the listing is mandatory.

Spare parts and accessories

The listing of spare parts and accessories (e.g., rims, exhausts, tires, etc.) is not permitted in the vehicle marketplace.

Deletion and republication of existing listings

It is not permitted to delete existing listings and then immediately republish them.

Changes

MotoScout24 reserves the right to make changes to these listing rules at any time.
